“Sir I’ve got this script here I think you’ll love. It’s called: [Sergei is a little disappointed that there is no sign of Nola] The Blind Androids.”
“Androids?” Outside, Dorothy Stern is bashing the draws of a filing cabinet. “Well then, let’s have it.”
Mel’s a bit twitchy. “Sir this is right up Nola’s street. And – and yours, of course. Set in the nineteen seventies.” Mel starts rifling through a bookcase behind him – “Go on kid, I’m listening.”
“It’s about a unit of crack military robots that go AWOL after having their sight sensors melted in a nuclear attack. They wreak havoc in Havana. A young heroine named – “
“Havana?”
“Yes, Mr. Chive Sir, Havana Cuba.”
“We don’t got a budget for Cuba, man! What the hell? And,” pointing at a page in his atlas “Cuba’s in goddam Florida!” He throws the book at Sergei.
But where was Nola?
